Procedure for submitting conference papers and proceedings

The Conference Material section of Interactive EMLS is a repository for conference announcements, calls for papers for both conferences and journals, programmes, and conference papers and proceedings. Both individual authors and panel moderators are encouraged to submit material to iEMLS.

All submissions must provide the following information:

• name of the conference, location, and the date of the presentation of the paper(s),
• the session number (if appropriate),
• moderator's name and institution,
• author's name and institution,
• the title of the paper,
• a one paragraph abstract of the paper,
• proof of acceptance by conference (e.g. a copy of the acceptance letter or programme).

Proof of acceptance can be faxed to the Editorial Assistant, EMLS at (604) 822-6906, or sent by post to:

Regular mail submissions of material on-disk are accepted in ASCII, Wordperfect, or Microsoft Word format; hard-copy submissions must be accompanied by electronic copies, either on-disk or via electronic mail, and will not be returned. E-mail submissions can be submitted as zipped word-processing files, RTF (Rich Text Format) or in ASCII format using the following conventions: &ltb&gtbold text</b> is indicated by tags which surround the text that is to appear in bold, likewise with &lti&gtitalicized text</i>, &ltu&gtunderlined text</u>, and &ltsup&gtsuperscript</sup>; superscript is used for note numbers in the text, and notes themselves appear at the end of the document. A document outlining the representation of non-ASCII characters is available on-site or by request.
