Women and Men in History
We welcome outlines for 8000 word essays for a proposed volume in the Longman Women and Men in History series. The volume for this series which we are co-editing covers the early modern period (c.1500-1700) and the topic is power, privilege, and protest. The aim of the series is to tackle themes in gender history from the early medieval period to the present day. The target audience is students, scholars, and the interested general reader and the aim is to produce a volume which keeps pace with and reflects innovative work in cultural and gender history. The scope for this volume is European. Essays on Spain, Germany, Italy, Central Europe are especially welcome.
