In conjunction with the Annual SAVAGE LECTURE in the Renaissance

This year's speaker: JEAN HOWARD, Columbia University

The University of Mississippi Renaissance Studies Conference invites proposals for papers for the upcoming meeting on Women, Writing and Economics. Suggested topics include: property and power, gender and commodification, authorship/printing/publishing, trade in and by women, women writers, gender and economics in art/literature/history. Preference will be given to papers that are interdisciplinary in approach, but all submissions are welcome.

Deadline for submissions: February 1, 1997
