The Elizabethan and English Renaissance Area of the Popular Culture Association seeks submissions on any aspect of popular culture in England from c. 1500-1700 for the Twenty-ninth Annual Conference at the Marriott Hotel, San Diego, Ca, March 31-April 3, 1999.

TOPICS include, but are not limited to: popular entertainment, popular literature, popular music, literacy, education, dress, gender, self and group identity, popular religion, regionalism and nationalism.

SINGLE papers or panels will be considered.
