Interrogating Spenserian Friendship
Proposed Forum for the 1998 M/MLA meeting in St. Louis, Nov. 5-7
What is a Spenserian friend? Papers may examine depictions of
friendship in Spenser's poems, or the "friendship"
of Elizabethan literary and political patronage. Derridean,
psychoanalytic, queer, and new historical approaches
especially welcome.
